Jarrod comes to Livewell Animal Hospital with over 18 years of leading exceptional teams and a decade of veterinary experience. Jarrod has always had a huge passion for pets and can often be seen volunteering with local animal shelters and rescues in his free time and always advocating for pet health and safety in his day-to-day life. Jarrod initially went to school for human medicine before transitioning into veterinary medicine. He has a love for all pets, but has a soft spot for senior dogs and a passion for physical therapy and rehabilitation. In his free time, Jarrod also loves to travel! One of his favorite trips was to Thailand and Malaysia where he spent some time working with elephants that were rescued from tourist driven facilities. It was such a rewarding experience to work with these gentle giants as they now enjoy a beautiful life filled with exceptional care and compassion. Jarrod currently resides in Arlington, Virginia with his Golden Retriever, Tucker. The two of them can be seen all over the city together, so say hi if you see them!
